Sue Radford and her husband Noel shared a heartbreaking photo of their son Alfie.

The couple were left heartbroken after their 17th child’s heartbeat couldn’t be found during a scan in 2014.

As part of Baby Loss Awareness Week, the pair vowed to keep Alfie’s memory alive and they commemorated the moment with a picture of their son’s hand and his grave surrounded by teddies and flowers.

Sharing a post on the family’s Instagram account on October 15, Sue wrote: “Wave of light 2023. Forever our missing heartbeat Alfie Thomas Radford,” accompanied with an angel emoji.

Sue posted a series of photos of their baby son’s hand, with another showing candles lit to spell out his name and a third picture with gifts and flowers laid beside his grave.

Social media users flooded the comment section as they offered their support to the 22 Kids and Counting sign.

One person wrote: “Sending love and prayers to you all. You are truly an amazing family.”

Another commented: “Alfie is an angel watching over y’all.”

A third added: “Sending love to you all. Baby Alfie will always be remembered!”

Sue has previously opened up about her grief over losing her son Alfie, saying “it never gets easier”.

The loss of Alfie came just a year after Sue had suffered a miscarriage in September 2013.

Since then, the family has vowed to keep his memory alive, with Sue even getting a tattoo of tiny footprints on her hand and feet in his honour.

In an episode of the family’s reality TV programme, the mum also opened up about feeling “quite bad” for taking her healthy pregnancies for granted, adding that stillbirths “should definitely be spoken about a lot more”.
