ANOTHER twist in the case of YouTuber Ruby Franke has emerged after her husband accused their estranged eldest daughter of burglarizing the family home.

Police in Utah didn’t pursue any charges against Shari Franke, who ultimately returned several items she took from the house.

But her father Kevin Franke remained upset about the situation and allegedly threatened to sue the department, Fox News reported.

The dispute began after Ruby and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt were arrested on child abuse charges this summer.

This came after one of the Franke children escaped from Hildebrandt’s home and sought help from a neighbor on August 30.

Police hadn’t located the other children featured in the videos on Ruby’s popular 8 Passengers YouTube channel, which is why they executed a search warrant at the family home in Springville, Utah, about 50 miles southeast of Salt Lake City.

“I responded by phone to the complainant [Kevin Franke] on the report of a burglary at the home,” an officer said in a September 1 police report obtained by Fox News.

The official arrived at the home and explained that police entered the home to execute a search warrant.

During that interaction, Kevin said he “wanted to have his daughter charged with theft for taking some hard drives out of the house,” the report says.

“Kevin stated that Shari is not allowed in the home, and that he believes she entered unlawfully and he wants her charged with burglary.”

But the officer said Shari “wasn’t aware” she was barred from the home.

She later returned the items – three tablets, three cellphones, three cameras, a stack of written journals, and three passports – to the police department, where Kevin came to pick them up.

Although the father wanted to press charges against Shari, police refused.

“Her intent was not to deprive him of any items, she had previously been allowed in the home, and he had not been in the home admittedly for 13 months,” the report says.

Kevin then allegedly threatened to sue the police department.

Randy Kester, a lawyer representing the father, told The U.S. Sun he’s not currently pursuing charges against Shari or a lawsuit against the police department.

“He was upset because he was never shown the warrant,” the attorney said.

“It was his home.”

Kester also claimed the house was left open after the police search and that someone else entered the structure.

The lawyer added that Kevin is now focused on being a “good dad” and bringing his family back together.

Ruby and Hildebrandt have each been charged with six counts of felony child abuse and remain in custody in Washington County, Utah.

The Springville Police Department didn’t immediately respond to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.
