Rachele Nguyen is a 17-year-old first-generation Vietnamese-American singer. She is also a contestant on NBC’s The Voice season 24.
Her parents first discovered she could sing when she was 2 when they realized she was singing along to the Vietnamese music her dad would play in the car.
At the age of 9, Rachele had the opportunity to participate in a Vietnamese singing competition show and became known in the community. The show sparked her interest in performing and she has been singing for people ever since. She also loves playing piano.
As a first-generation Vietnamese American, Rachele keeps her culture alive by learning to speak, read, write, and sing in Vietnamese with the help of her grandma.

Rachele Nguyen The Voice
California native Rachele Nguyen is a contestant on the 24th season of The Voice. She sang her rendition of ‘Bleeding Love’ by Leona Lewis in the blind audition.
She got Coach Reba to turn her chair as the only one.
Gwen said, “For the style of singing that you were doing with runs and all that, kind of more R&B-ish kind of lane, I think when you do runs like that, you have to like to map it out and you’ve gotta be clear, like, on when you’re going to do them.” She then added, “I think that’s just something that’s gonna come with time.”

Niall Horan apologized for not turning his chair as he claimed, “It did make me really excited to hear what you’ll sound like when you mature into your voice. I’m very sorry that I didn’t turn.”
As Reba explained why she turned her chair around for Rachele, she recounted having lots of horses as a third-generation rodeo brat.
Judge Reba then compared Rachele to one of her horses, saying, “Sometimes you get a horse that is so good, young, and you can’t wait for that all to blossom, and you get to be a part of that journey.” She added, “That’s what I’m looking forward to.”
Reba’s statement left Rachele overwhelmed and she thanked the judge for such a sweet compliment. As Reba welcomed Rachele into her team, she said, “We’re gonna have a blast, and welcome to Reba Team.”
Her teammates will include; Ms. Monet, Tom Nitti, and Mac Royals among others.

Her parents are of Vietnamese origin. She was accompanied by her parents and sister who were behind the stage cheering her.
