Yutung “Faye” Zhang was a UGA student who died over the weekend while rock climbing. The news has shocked and saddened Yutung’s friends and family. 

According to the sources, Yutung fell 90 feet while rock climbing at the Cherokee Rock Village in Alabama and died on the spot. 

Further, Yutung was just 18 years old at the time, and the untimely death of such a young person stunned her family. 

Additionally, Yutung was from Minnesota, and she was a first-year student at UGA. Family and loved ones are mourning the loss and showering condolences to her through social media posts. 

UGA Student Yutung Zhang Accident Linked To Death

UGA Student Yutung Zhang passed away, and her death cause was recently linked to an accident. She tragically lost her life in a rock climbing accident at Cherokee Rock Village in Alabama, falling from a height of approximately 90 feet.

Furthermore, the incident reportedly happened on Saturday at noon. It has been reported that the park in Cherokee County has boulders towering up to 200 feet.

Rescue teams were alerted about the fall shortly after noon on Saturday and faced a challenging and time-consuming recovery effort.

Yutung Zhang Obituary And Funeral Details

UGA Student Yutung Zhang’s obituary was posted following her demise after an accident. People close to the Zhang family are devasted, and they are mourning the loss.

It has been noted that Zhang was just 18 years old at the time of her tragic death. Tributes started to pour on various social media platforms.

She was associated with UGA, and the university also released a statement. They wrote, “We are deeply saddened by this tragedy that took the life of University of Georgia first-year student Faye Zhang.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the student’s family, and we will continue to provide counseling and support to members of our community who have been affected by her passing.”

Yutung Zhang Family Mourns The Loss

Yutung Zhang’s family is mourning the loss of their beloved member as she shared a good bond with everyone in her community.

The young girl loved spending most of her spare time with her close ones. Reportedly, Zhang was a first-year student at UGA from Minnesota.

Likewise, she was a member of Athen’s Active Climbing gym. Further, she was also recognized by her nickname Faye. On Instagram, her gym released a statement that said it was deeply saddened to learn of Zhang’s death.

As of now, the whole family has stayed away from the media, and they also appear to be seeking privacy at this challenging time.
