Welton Road Van Crash: Girl, 3, Hit By Van And Fighting For Life
A YOUNG child, who was hit by a van after falling from a car and colliding with it outside of a McDonald’s, is in critical condition.
The three-year-old child was riding in a car close to a Merseyside shopping center when the horrific incident occurred.
She is claimed to have fallen out of the automobile before being fatally struck by a van, which immediately stopped.
Police responded quickly to the incident and detained the 37-year-old female driver of the automobile on suspicion of drug-related driving and child protection-related offenses.
The child was hurried to the hospital, where she is still battling for her life.
Upon learning of a serious traffic accident in Wirral this afternoon, Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Unit officers detained a 37-year-old Leasowe resident.
On Welton Road in Bromborough, close to McDonald’s, at around 4.10 p.m., a silver van struck a three-year-old child who was getting out of a Nissan Qashqai.
“The youngster was injured severely and was transported to the hospital; she is still critically ill but stable.
A woman, 37, from Leasowe, Wirral, was detained on suspicion of drugged driving and in connection with violations involving child protection.
