Danny Elfman was spotted for the first time after being accused of sexual abuse and sexual harassment by a second woman while stepping out in Beverly Hills on Friday.

The 70-year-old musician cut a casual figure while visiting an office building that houses several law offices.

The news about former Oingo Boingo frontman, whose reclusive wife Bridget Fonda recently confirmed that she had no plans to return to her acting career, was revealed by several sources earlier this week.

According to Variety, Elfman was accused of misconduct by a woman going by the pseudonym Jane Doe XX in a suit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday.

The individual has claimed that the singer harassed her from 1997 until 2002, beginning when she was a 21-year-old attending film school.

Jane Doe XX alleged that she initially maintained a cordial working relationship with the musician, whom she considered to be a mentor, although he eventually began exposing himself to her when they were together.

The individual recalled an instance in which she claimed that the singer stripped naked and coerced her into doing the same thing during a visit to the Mercer Hotel in New York.

Although she alleged that she quickly put her clothes on after feeling uncomfortable, she recalled that Elfman insisted that she watch him bathe naked during their next meeting.

In her filing, Jane Doe XX wrote that the performer made a habit of stripping his clothes off in her presence and told her ‘that this was the only way he could work, be creative and successful.’

The individual later moved to Los Angeles, where she would often visit the Grammy Award-winning artist at his home and sleep next to him while he remained naked under the covers.

She alleged that, although she would keep her clothes on and remain on top of his bedsheets, he told her that ‘every time you have ever slept next to me, I would masturbate next to you.’

Jane Doe XX broke off her working relationship with Elfman after he told her about his behavior in bed, and she stated that she has experienced ‘shock, humiliation and shame’ resulting from their connection.

The individual has claimed that she has spoken about the singer’s behavior to several of his acquaintances, who have expressed that they cannot do anything about the artist because of ‘who he is.’

Jane Doe XX’s suit was filed against Elfman and his company, Musica de la Muerta, and she has alleged that he subjected her to sexual assault, gender violence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, sexual harassment and negligence.

Her suit was filed under the California Sexual Abuse and Cover-Up Accountability Act, which allows cases that would normally be struck down by the statute of limitations to be revived where there is evidence of institutional obstruction.

The musician was previously sued by composer Nomi Abadi for breach of contract for failing to make all of his payments on a settlement related to his alleged sexual misconduct.

According to Rolling Stone, the vocalist was owed a total of $830,000 from Elfman, who did not pay two installments worth $42,500 each in July of 2019 and 2021, respectively.

Although Abadi’s filing did not specify any details regarding the reasoning for the settlement, sources spoke to the media outlet to confirm that the Oscar Award-nominated artist was accused of sexual misconduct.

The composer had brought claims of abuse to the LAPD in November of 2017, and the authorities categorized the report as involving ‘indecent exposure.’

Abadi alleged that Elfman had exposed himself and masturbated in front of her on numerous occasions over the course of a year in her filing.

However, the former Oingo Boingo frontman provided a statement to Rolling Stone in order to deny the allegations and to assert that his relationship with the composer was entirely platonic until he turned down her romantic advances.

The musician stated that he ‘allowed someone to get close to me without knowing that I was her “childhood crush” and that her intention was to break up my marriage and replace my wife.’

He added: ‘When this person realized that I wanted distance from her, she made it clear that I would pay for having rejected her. I allowed an ill-advised friendship to have far-reaching consequences, and that error in judgment is entirely my fault.’

The award-winning performer concluded by writing that he possessed ‘voluminous evidence that these accusations are false.’ 

A representative for the musician also claimed that Elfman and Abadi only engaged in ‘limited interactions, which did not involve sexual contact.’
