Jada Pinkett Smith looked happy and supported by her estranged husband Will Smith and their children, Jaden and Willow, in a photo she posted from the Detroit stop on her book tour on Friday night.

The 52-year-old performer posed for a snap with her spouse, 55, their son, 25, and daughter, 22, while spending time with several of their friends following the conclusion of her promotional appearance.

The Independence Day star flashed a wide smile as he stood next to his wife, who shocked many with her bombshell revelation about her separation from her husband, which she said has been secretly in effect for seven years.

Jada’s memoir, Worthy, was published this past Tuesday to much attention from readers.

The publication covered numerous aspects of the actress’ life, including her friendship with Tupac Shakur and her relationship with her estranged husband.

The new photo was shocking in light of Jada’s revelations of years of marital turmoil.

Despite Jada’s revelation that they haven’t been together for years and no longer live in the same home, Will and Jada both showed off joyous, toothy grins.

There also wasn’t any hint of awkwardness with their children, as Willow and Jaden looked just as happy as their famous parents.

Will and Jada met in 1994, and they tied the knot three years after their initial meeting.

The Girls Trip actress and her spouse started a family with Jaden’s arrival in 1998, and Willow was born two years later.

Will also shares his son Trey, 30, with his former wife Sheree Zampino, and Jada serves as a stepmother to her estranged husband’s first child.

The pair remained together for several years before they quietly separated in 2016, although she did not reveal her split to the public until earlier this month.

The actress revealed the news during an interview on Today, during which she referred to her separation from the actor as a ‘divorce.’

She also stated that, although she lives separately from her husband, they have no intention of formally dissolving their marriage.

Jada elaborated on her separation from Will during an interview with People, where she stated that they had remained committed to being open with each other regarding their feelings.

She stated: ‘We eliminated the chance of betrayal. It’s like, “Let’s talk about it. Let’s work through it together. Let’s be in partnership. Let’s not keep each other in the dark.”‘

The performer went on to stated that she planned on staying married to her estranged husband despite their complicated romantic situation.

‘I think that — and this is just for me personally — if you’re talking about being with somebody forever, it’s about having emotional maturity, to get through inevitable times,’ she said.

Jada concluded by stating that her relationship with Will remained deep-rooted and that it was continue to change over the course of their future as a married couple.

‘We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us,’ she stated.
