Calen Uhlig Death

The music community in Portland is in mourning at the passing of well-known musician Calen Uhlig. Portland, Oregon resident Calen Uhlig unexpectedly went dead from a heart attack. Bass lines will always reverberate in our memory, and the world has lost a creative force. He started on a musical adventure that would help him develop into a bass guitar virtuoso. He showed incredible talent and a natural affinity for the instrument right away. His fingers danced across the strings, creating melodies that went beyond language and touched the core of our feelings.

RIP

Calen was a good man in addition to being a musician. His bass lines could evoke the whole gamut of human emotion, from happy, upbeat notes that made us dance to depressing, reflective melodies that made us think. His songs warmed our souls and became our constant companions. In addition to his achievements in the music industry, Calen was a cherished friend, a mentor to upcoming artists, and an inspiration to a great number of people. His kindness, modesty, and enthusiasm for spreading his love of music left a lasting impression on everyone he had the honour of meeting.

Calen was a Portland, Oregon-born bassist with skill. He had recorded records with seven Grammy-winning performers and performed on both domestic and international tours. Together with being featured with the Denominators, he collaborated with Ben Rice and a number of the top blues musicians in the Northwest. Uhlig was a really good guy as well as a fantastic golfer. Uhlig frequently plays Saturday AM concerts at Rose City Coffee Co. We recall not only the music he produced but also the joy he brought into our lives as we bid farewell to this extraordinary bass musician. For those who were lucky enough to be touched by his artistic talent, his legacy endures in their hearts.
