A WALMART customer has claimed the retail giant treated them like a thief as they attempted to leave the store.
The customer made the shocking allegation on social media, claiming that they “never had a good experience at Walmart.”
Shadz (@ShadowReborne) revealed the incident in a series of posts on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.
The posts were made in response to another user’s post about their alleged experience working at Walmart, in which they claimed “All the bad things the employees say about the place is true.”
Shadz appeared to agree with the post, claiming “most of the employees are a**holes.”
“The management wasn’t better. One time, I went into walmart with groceries that I bought from aldi with aldi’s brand on the product, and the Manager thought I stole the items even though it was from another store,” the first post read.
“They had to check my bag and receipt TWICE.”
Sahdz also claimed that the employees “put stuff on shelves that they had to recall and discontinue.
The post did not reveal which location the shopper had visited, or what items they were accused of stealing.

Over the past several years, many Walmart shoppers have noticed the retailer requesting to review customer’s receipts or bags after making their purchases.
Many customers have complained about the move, with some saying they feel as though they are being treated unfairly or as a thief.
However, large retailers have insisted such policies help curb shoplifting and theft.
A Walamrt spokesperson told ABC 10 that the retailer’s intent “is to check every receipt,” to help keep inventory high.
Walmart-owned Sam’s Club even has listed the policy on its website.
“To ensure that you are charged correctly for the merchandise you have selected, Sam’s Club may inspect or electronically scan your merchandise and electronic/phone or paper copy receipt(s) when you exit any Sam’s Club location,” the website reads.
Some customers may wonder if these policies are legal, and experts have suggested they are.
Criminal defense attorney Donald Heller told ABC 10 that while there is no statue permitting it, “a store has a right to fully protect its merchandise, and if they have a uniform policy to do so, they can do that.”
