A TARGET customer has become infuriated over new regulations for the self-checkout at his store.

Some Target stores have reduced the number of items you can scan at self-checkout to about 10-15 items.

If you go over the number of items, the self-checkout machine will start making a scene.

The regulations have only been put in place at select stores across the nation.

TikTok creator Speaking of Dying (@speakingofdying) took to the platform to share that he feels the Target self-checkout is obnoxious.

In the video, the man took a very sarcastic approach to explaining how the self-checkout machine reacts when you go over the limit.

He basically mocked how a conversation would go with Target officials when deciding to make the change.

“We could make this self-checkout thing a thousand times better if it was like 10 or 15 items or less things and then if you tried to scan the sixteenth item,” the TikToker said.

He added that the conversation must have included an idea to have a machine that screams and blinks.

Along with that, if you do go over the limit, you’ll also have to take all of your groceries to the side of the register to have it looked over by an employee.

“It would scream at you and blink and blink and blink and a cashier would have to come over and take your 2 carts full of groceries to the cashier line,” he said.

The TikToker then explained that if being screamed at, having blinking lights in your face, and having to move all of your groceries wasn’t enough – now you get to have everyone stare at you as well.

“Because I know you can feel everybody glaring at you,” he said.

Lastly, he finished the video by saying that overall, the whole experience when going over the item limit feels like public shame.

“But I need that public shame to get it through your head,” he said.
