Ski Dubai is an indoor ski resort that is part of the Mall of the Emirates – one of the largest shopping centre’s in the world – in the UAE’s capital.

But despite average temperatures reaching between 30C-35C around this time of year, it is one of the best places to wrap up warm and hit the slopes.

The park maintains a temperature of -1C to 2C throughout the year and at 260 feet wide and up to 1300 feet long, the slope offers five different courses of varying difficulty.

Included in your ticket is everything you need, from skiis and footwear to suitable clothing and goggles.

However, you’ll need to provide your own gloves.

Nonetheless, the place remains a skiers paradise.

A chairlift and a tow lift is on hand to help carry skiers and snowboarders up the mountain, while various features such as boxes, rails and kickers are frequently changed.

For those who haven’t taken to the slopes before, however, lessons are available to book.

Alternatively, visitors can enjoy a snowboarding course instead.

Perhaps the most exciting part of the complex, though, is the adjoining 3,000-square-metre Snow Park play area.

Tickets for the Snowpark will give you access to all the thrilling activities such as the Bobsled, Tubing Run, Snow Bumpers, Climbing Wall, and the kiddies Snow Plough playground.

You can also have a delicious drink in the amazing Ice Bar to celebrate your success on the slopes or to simply help wind down after an exhausting day.

Furthermore, Ski Dubai is also home to a colony of penguins.

They are let out of their enclosures several times a day and encounters can be booked with both King and Gentoo penguins, which is perfect for kids who may be too young to go skiing.

With Ski Dubai staying open until 11pm Monday to Thursday and midnight on weekends, you can really get your money’s worth with your ticket.

As this place is slightly different to your usual ski resorts, tickets are a bit more expensive.

There are different options, however, with customers able to pay £56.10 for two hours or £78.50 for a full day.

Tickets for the Snowpark must be bought separately at a cost of £49.30.

With so much included in the cost of your ticket, it is certainly worth splashing out for.

You can also download the Ski Dubai app to help making things easier, allowing you to plan your visit, pick your skiing gear and more.
