“I gave a man a my card on a date because he told me that he left his card at home and that he was going to CashApp me back,” she said at the beginning of the clip uploaded to her account @mixed._dreams.

That was apparently a lie.

“It’s been months and he hasn’t CashApped me back and I’m blocked on everything,” Ozane said.

“Don’t judge me… I know I was being stupid, but I’m too trusting.”

Months later, the TikToker decided to do some online research about the man who scammed her.

“I did a public data report about this man,” she said.

“Why did he lie to me about his age?”

Ozane discovered that the man was 35-years-old and has children.

But those weren’t the most shocking details she uncovered.

“This man is a sex offender,” Ozane said.

“This man went to jail for possession, burglary, the list goes on and on.”

The TikToker left her followers with a piece of advice.

“Y’all be safe and make sure y’all do yalls research before meeting up with people off these dating sites and social media,” she said in the video’s description.

Many commenters below the clip were also shocked by the situation.

“Friend you supposed to look this up before you meet them,” one said.

“You see… I was kind in the moment,” Ozane replied.

Another commenter wanted to know if date night scammer was attractive.

“Fine is an understatement,” Ozane said.

Others shared plans to run background checks on people in their lives.

“Might have to go run a report on my crazy wide,” one TikToker said.

“They change you say I do.”
