Philadelphia 76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. has been struck by a motor vehicle in the Center City neighborhood.

According to ESPN, Oubre was a pedestrian when he was hit and he is now receiving treatment at a local hospital.

Sixers spokespeople say that he is in stable condition.

Further reporting from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski details that 76ers president Daryl Morey and other representatives of the team are at the hospital with Oubre.

That report also says that Oubre is expected to miss significant time due to his injuries – but that they aren’t believed to be season ending.

Wojnarowski also reports that local authorities in Philadelphia are currently investigating the incident.

Oubre was reportedly walking near his residence when he was hit by a vehicle, a Sixers spokesperson said.

Later in the evening, Oubre was released from the hospital – and he will reportedly work closely with the Sixers medical staff for treating and caring for his injuries.

So far this season, Oubre is averaging 16.3 points per game and is shooting 50 percent from the field this season.

Oubre is also averaging 29 minutes a game for the Sixers – a number that increased after PJ Tucker was traded to the Clippers in the James Harden deal.
