A PAIR of alleged car burglars were stopped by cops after a huge crash but it’s the driver’s ironic tattoo that caught attention.

Cops in Polk County, Florida responded to a call about a car burglary around 3.30 am on Monday morning.

According to cops, suspects Timothy Allen Hogue, of Apopka, and Rebecca Kozub of Ocoee were seen attempting to break into several vehicles in the neighborhood.

Hogue, 37, was identified as driving the get-away vehicle as he attempted to flee law enforcement during a traffic stop.

The subsequent car crash left him with a bloodied face and his passenger, Kozub, 31, in hospital.

“A series of car burglaries in the Davenport area ended with a violent crash early Monday morning, November 13, 2023, one suspect has been arrested, and another one remains hospitalized,” the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on Facebook.

A deputy who spotted the suspects vehicle, a white 2006 Cadillac CTS, attempted a traffic stop but surveillance footage from a nearby home showed the driver running back into his vehicle to escape arrest.

“The attempt to flee ended abruptly when the Cadillac slammed into a parked and unoccupied vehicle,” the statement added.

“Deputies immediately pulled the two suspects out of the disabled Cadillac, got them secured, and requested emergency medical services to treat the injured suspects.”

The Facebook post added a comment from Sheriff Grady Judd who said: “It should not come as a surprise that the driver has a tattoo on his neck that says, ‘All gas, no brakes’.”

A mugshot showing Hogue’s bloodied face with cuts and scrapes on his forehead, eyes, and nose also features the tattoo which can be seen on the front of his neck.

“Needs a Jail tat update… ‘All Gas, No Brains,'” one Polk County resident wrote.

The footage shared by the Sheriff’s office shows the entirety of the incident and the suspects’ vehicle slamming head-on into a parked car, rather than the officer’s vehicle which was directly next to it.

“Fleeing from a law enforcement traffic stop demonstrates very poor decision making, but to do it in a small, residential neighborhood at a high rate of speed is a terrible idea, and dangerous,” the Sheriff said.

“It’s amazing and fortunate that nobody innocent was hurt or killed.

“They could have very easily crashed into a house.”

Hogue was arrested and charged with burglary of an unoccupied conveyance with enhancement of crossing county lines, felony petit theft, fleeing to elude, conspiracy to commit burglary, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana less than 20g, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and Resisting without violence.

Meanwhile, his passenger, Kozub remains in hospital with a fractured leg following the crash.

Her charges are pending, according to law enforcement.

The pair are not strangers to law enforcement with each having numerous felonies and misdemeanors on their records.

“Hogue has a prior criminal history that consists of 31 felonies and 18 misdemeanors while Kozub has amassed 19 felonies and 20 misdemeanors,” the Sheriff’s office stated.
