POLICE are currently searching for the married couple, who mysteriously disappeared earlier this week.

On Monday, November 13, officers carried out a welfare check at the couple’s home in Washington after Karen Koep failed to show up for work.

Who are Karen Koep and Davido?

Karen Koep and Davido are a married couple living in the Lake Forest Community, a suburb north of Seattle, in Washington.

According to a listing on Zocdoc, Koep is a chiropractor with her own office located in Lacey.

Her services have a 4.9 rating on Google Reviews.

Davido, whose last name is unlisted, has been married to Karen for over 30 years.

The couple have two adult children.

Davido is a landlord to multiple properties in the surrounding area, and police have been working with past and current tenants for any clues or leads to his disappearance.

Tenant Julie Stedman wrote on Facebook: “I’ve personally worked with 20 percent of the entire county sheriff’s office in the last few days.”

She added, “You can’t even imagine what has been going on his property I live on for the last 48 hours. He’s a very nice man and its been hell. I don’t want to say too much but I pray he’s OK.”

A neighbor, Sue Cummings, commented: “Davido has been a kind friend and neighbor here where the couple owns property near Rainier Road.”

When did they go missing?

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office performed a welfare check at the couple’s home on Monday, November 13, after Karen failed to show up at work.

Police found the home empty, and the couple missing.

The couple’s car was later found in Olympia near 67th Avenue Southeast and Rainier Road Southeast, which is near Koep’s office and about five miles from the couple’s home.

The car is also near the Chehalis Western Trailhead in East Olympia, a popular starting point for hikers.

The sheriff’s office released a picture of the couple’s 2015 silver Toyota Yaris and asked the public for their help in providing any potential leads or clues to the suspicious disappearance.

“To ensure the integrity of the investigation we have not released many details. But, if you saw the above-pictured vehicle, please contact us at detectives@co.thurston.wa.us or through dispatch, 360-704-2740,” the sheriff’s office said.

The Thurston County Sheriff’s office is said to be working with investigators and additional state and local law enforcement to learn more about the couple’s whereabouts.

What have people said about Karen Koep?

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office posted photos of the couple on their Facebook page, captioning the post: “Help us locate this missing couple.”

As of Thursday, November 16, the post has nearly 300 comments and 2,000 shares.

Multiple comments were focused on Karen’s contributions to the community as a chiropractor.

Phil Jasperson commented: “Karen has been our DC since 1999. I can’t believe I’m reading this! I don’t know what to say or do as she has [sic] an important part of my entire family’s life.”

“I am so heartbroken to hear this news. Just saw Karen last Friday. As with so many, she is my chiropractor too. She is such a wonderful person. God I pray they are safely found soon,” commented Cindy Harris.

Paul K Girard said: “She Is A Miracle Worker And A Wonderful Person.”

“I grew up with their sons, and have many fond memories at their home. Praying they’re found safe,” commented Nakai Baird.

Isabella Ruiz commented: “Dr. Koep is one of the nicest sincere people I’ve ever met. Praying for her to be found safely!”

The couple’s son, Justice Dutton, said the family appreciates the positivity and prayers online and on social media.

“We’re so touched by so many people showing love and support for my mother and father,” said Dutton, as reported by NBC affiliate King 5.

Still, despite the outpouring of support and well-wishes, police do not have any new information to share with the public at this time.
