The attorney general explained that Madore was homeless and spent time at hotels in Seacost and Concord, per CBS News.

After the shooting, officers found a U-Haul idling in the hospital parking lot, resulting in the bomb squad being called in to inspect the vehicle, according to New Hampshire State Police Col. Mark Hall.

Soon after, the bomb squad determined the vehicle was not a threat to public safety but found several rounds of ammunition, an AR-style rifle, and a tactical vest, among other items, Boston affiliate WHDH reported.

Formella did not confirm the U-Haul or the items were connected to Madore.

Bradley Haas, 63, was also named as the security officer who died in the incident in Concord on Friday.

Haas was the former chief of the Franklin Police Department, about 20 miles north of Concord.

He reportedly served the department for 28 years.
