Travis Kelce has been sent a warning by Jon ‘Stugotz’ Weiner, who believes it is a matter of time before fans turn on him due to his off-field exploits.

Kelce has struggled for top form in recent weeks and admitted on his New Heights podcast on Wednesday that his form is ‘p***ing him off’ after the Chiefs lost to his brother’s team, the Philadelphia Eagles, on Monday night.

It comes amid the backdrop of his new-found fame dating Taylor Swift, an extensive interview this week with the Wall Street Journal and appearances in a number of television commercials.

Stugotz, who called himself ‘a good friend’ of Kelce’s, publicly criticized him for his off-field activities on the Dan Le Batard Show..

‘I’ve got a message for Travis Kelce, Dan, because he’s a friend of mine and I am telling you right now, he doesn’t know this is about to happen but it is about to happen,’ he said.

‘They lose more games, he has a drop, he has a big fumble in that game and a big turnover. Chiefs fans are going to start doubting Travis Kelce.

‘If they lose a couple more games they are going to say Travis Kelce is not as focused as in years past, he is more focused on his relationship with Taylor Swift, he is more focused on his podcast with Jason Kelce and that’s a complete disaster. They are covering centers on the telecast, they have never covered a center like this, ever.

‘They are showing highlights of Jason Kelce pulling and making blocks and if I’m a center,  I’m sitting at home saying hey I’m doing that every single Sunday and nobody is highlighting it for me.

‘Back to Travis – I’m telling you it is coming. Chiefs fans are going to come down on him on Sports radio because he is not as focused as years past. He’s one of the leaders of the team, one of the captains of the team, everyone is going criticize him and say you have lost your focus.

‘They are going to start getting mad at Travis Kelce. He doesn’t see it coming, he’s new to the game, I’m telling him right now it’s going to come.’

Stugotz was questioned on his ‘new to the game’ remark, given Kelce is 34 and a two-time Super Bowl winner, but continued: ‘This is different.

‘You’ve got families meeting in suites, even though the Swifts didn’t show up (against the Eagles). He’s not focused on football. He’s shooting a million commercials.

‘He’s a good friend. It’s just a warning to Travis, my friend that it’s coming unless you get your act together and start focusing on football again. That’s all I’m saying.

‘I don’t care. You’re a Hall of Famer in my book, it doesn’t matter. You’re one of the great tight ends to every play football in my book. But if you don’t think the Chiefs fans are going to turn on you, you have another thing coming. That’s all I’m saying.’

Weiner underlined his position on X, saying: ‘To be clear, these are not my words, these are the future words of Chiefs fans if this continues. Just trying to help a friend out. Love you @tkelce.’

Kelce himself has not publicly acknowledged the comments.

His Chiefs team are 7-3 for the season after the Eagles loss and head to Vegas to play against the Raiders on Sunday.
