A MANHUNT is underway for a suspected serial killer who murdered three people in four days.

Cops released surveillance images of the suspect on Friday as they warned the public to be on guard as he remains on the loose.

The suspected killer is believed to be responsible for the murders of three homeless men in four days in Los Angeles.

The victims, aged between 37 and 62 years old, were all shot dead in open areas in the city, with one killed while he was asleep.

Surveillance images show the suspect walking around in a hoodie that he is said to have been wearing at the time of the murders.

A photo of the grey car he is believed to be rampaging around in was also sent out, alongside a warning to some of the most vulnerable members in the city.

“Our message to the unhoused community is clear — do not sleep alone tonight,” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass warned.

“Seek shelter, seek services, stay together, seek support and we need your help to get the word out.”

Her message came after the disturbing string of murders began on Sunday, November 26 at around 3 am. The victim was identified as 37-year-old male Jose Vamos.

Second victim Mark Digs, 62, was killed just one day later, on Monday, November 27 at around 4:55 am.

The third murder occurred on Wednesday, November 29 at around 2:30 am. The victim was only identified as a 52-year-old male. 

All three victims were killed by gunshot, all while sleeping or preparing to sleep, and all in the early morning.

A specialized task force has been created under the Robbery-Homicide division in Los Angeles with investigators from multiple branches in an attempt to catch the killer.

“We’re bringing homicide investigators from throughout the city,” LAPD Chief Michel Moore told reporters on Friday.

“We’re bringing additional investigators from specialized posts and we have placed our forensic science division on ready so that any forensic evidence that is gathered is also quickly processed and analyzed in an effort to identify the person we believe responsible for these three homicides.”

Moore also said surrounding cities have been contacted in an effort to connect any similar crimes.

“We have no unsolved homicides outside the city of Los Angeles,” Moore said.

“Yet our work continues in identifying whether there are any other shooting victims of persons who are experiencing homelessness which are unsolved and may have any similarities to these homicides.”

The murders are eerily similar to the Stockton serial killer from 2022, who killed multiple homeless people in the Stockton and Oakland areas of California.

He shot a total of seven victims, most of which were homeless.
