Halle Bailey made a grand entrance in a custom red Off-White gown at the Los Angeles premiere of “The Color Purple” on December 6, 2023. Bailey, who plays Nettie Harris in the upcoming film, wore a voluminous dress featuring a ruffled tiered skirt and a criss-cross neckline.

While some admired Bailey’s outfit, others voiced their frustration, claiming they were “tired” by star’s attempt to “hide” her alleged baby bump.

“I’m tired of Halle Bailey and these big outfits. If you pregnant, just say that..,” one commenter wrote.

Another fan suggested that the singer might be photoshopping her images to downplay any signs of pregnancy.

“Halley, we love you, but we can literally see the photoshop on the sides where they slimmed that tummy to hide it. Please stop doing this to us and let us celebrate that baby with you.”

This comes in the wake of comments about her having a “pregnancy nose” and widespread speculation about her expecting a child with her boyfriend DDG.

In her Instagram story, Halle thanked her true supporters, saying, “I just wanna say i’m so very grateful for my real supporters who are respectful of women’s bodies and loving,” she wrote. “being under a microscope is not easy but for the real ones who show unconditional love religiously i appreciate you.”

Halle and her boyfriend DDG, also known as Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., made their red carpet debut at the BET Awards in 2022 and have been in a relationship for 18 months.
