Trevor Lawrence threw the longest touchdown pass of his NFL career so far to reduce the deficit for the Jaguars against the Ravens on Sunday night.

While trailing 10-0 to Baltimore midway through the third quarter, Lawrence produced a sensational 65-yard pass which picked out wide receiver Jamal Agnew, who sprinted through to the endzone untouched to score Jacksonville’s first touchdown of the game.

It was an incredible play by the Jaguars quarterback, who is looking to help them return to winning ways in Jacksonville after two consecutive defeats.

His long-range pass made amends after a disappointing first half, which saw him lose a fumble at Baltimore’s 23 and mismanage the final play of the half by throwing a short pass instead of spiking the ball with no timeouts as the time expired.

The Jaguars also became the first team in two seasons to get shut out completely in a first half despite making four drives inside their opponents’ 40-yard line.

It was the Ravens who took the lead on the night when their own quarterback Lamar Jackson picked out Isaiah Likely in the end zone late in the second quarter.

And after Lawrence’s piece of magic brought Jacksonville back into the game, the visitors extended their lead to 10 points once more when Gus Edwards punched it in from a yard out at the start of the fourth quarter.

Jackson again showcased his quality to set Edwards’ touchdown punch up after finding Likely again with a 26-yard completion to the one.
