Grab your cup of cocoa and get ready to settle in for one of true crime’s most masterful storyteller’s take on a Christmas classic.

Dateline correspondent Keith Morrison will bring Charles Dickens’ classic A Christmas Carol to life in Season 2 of the hit podcast Morrison Mysteries.

“Everyone is full of joy and cheer, except one miserable man — Ebenezer Scrooge,” the Season 2 description reads. “What happened to make him so mean? Tune in to Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to hear all about Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, and the Ghosts who show Scrooge the true spirit of Christmas.”

What is Morrison Mysteries?

While Morrison is known for his ability to weave a tantalizing true crime tale of murder and mayhem, the podcast Morrison Mysteries gives Dateline fans the opportunity to hear the veteran reporter lend his voice to some of the finest works of fiction.

As the podcast’s description explains: “Dateline NBC’s Keith Morrison takes you on a captivating ride through some of the most suspenseful and chilling works of fiction you’ll ever hear. Get ready for haunting stories of betrayal, love, jealousy and rage. Each chapter brings more clues, more suspense and of course, more twists and turns. So settle down and listen up, it’s classic mysteries as you’ve never heard them before.”

What happens on Season 2 of Morrison Mysteries?

The podcast’s first season, which premiered October 23, provided a chilling new narration of Washington Irving’s haunting classic The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, told over three episodes.

Season 2 takes a more festive approach with A Christmas Carol, although fans can still expect some ghostly visitors and a foreboding warning about a terrifying possible future if Scrooge can’t change his ways.

The holiday classic is told over five separate episodes, each focusing on a distinct aspect of the centuries-old story.

In a video teaser, Morrison is seen seated in an overstuffed chair, surrounded by holiday decorations and reading from a large book that sits in his lap.

“Bah humbug,” he reads.

Where can you listen to Morrison Mysteries?

Morrison is no stranger to the podcast industry and has already topped the Apple Podcast charts with his true crime offerings including Murder in Apartment 12, The Thing About Pam, and The Girl in the Blue Mustang.
