THE Grinch is notorious for stealing Christmas and his dastardly plot to deprive the residents of Whoville of their presents.

A lawyer has explored what the consequences of the cartoonish beast’s actions would be if fiction turned into reality.

In a viral TikTok video, legal expert Mike (@lawbymike) said it likely took “meticulous planning” to craft the plot of stealing all the presents from Whoville.

He joked: “As soon as you put on your Santa costume and tell your dog about it, you can be charged with conspiracy to commit a crime.”

The Grinch would be landed with burglary charges at each location after breaking into every home.

Each charge could result in a seven to 25-year sentence, meaning the Grinch could be behind bars for life.

If the Grinch was slapped with 100 burglary charges, that could result in a 2500-year sentence.

Mike claimed the Grinch would be violating the Patriot Act if he intended to commit crimes that sparked fear and intimidation.

He warned the Grinch could face terror charges.

Mike joked that the green beast should get their heart checked out after it grew three sizes.
