Television presenter Jeannie Mai has admitted she is ‘manifesting pure joy’ and ‘can’t wait’ to see who she becomes in the year 2024 following her shock split and ongoing divorce from husband Jeezy.

Jeannie, 44, said not only is she ‘looking forward’ to being the ‘healthiest’ version of herself, but she’s also hoping to feel ‘whole’ and ‘safe’ after rapper Jeezy – whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins – filed for divorce in September after two years of marriage, leaving her ‘devastated’.

Speaking ahead of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024, which Jeannie will co-host, the brunette got candid about what she wants to focus on in the new year with her 23-month-old daughter Monaco.

‘2024… I’m looking forward to the healthiest me I’ve ever seen in my life, I’m looking forward to Monaco’s first full sentence that she’s ever gonna say. I’m looking forward to being with my family,’ she began.

‘Family has always been so important to me, and I feel like I’ve kind of drifted, you know figuring out my life, so this is the year I’m going to really rekindle what we have, and I can’t wait to really see who I become this year.’

When asked what she is wishing for in 2024, Jeannie continued: ‘In 2024, I am manifesting pure joy. I just want good old wholesome joy, like that stuff that feels so calm and readily available that it doesn’t need a night out, it doesn’t need to be looked for, it just is there because you feel whole and you feel safe.

‘That’s what I want to have. I know how to conjure it and I wanna keep it, for all of 2024,’ Jeannie said, before revealing that she wants to take her young daughter to Vietnam next year to ‘teach her about part of her heritage’.

Jeannie gave birth to Monaco in January 2022 after marrying Jeezy, 46, in March 2021 at their Atlanta, Georgia, home.

On September 14 of this year, Jeezy filed for divorce from Jeannie in Georgia’s Superior Court of Fulton County, and sought joint legal custody of their daughter, with the filing stating that ‘the marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken’ and ‘there is no hope for reconciliation’.

Earlier this month it was reported that Jeezy had filed paperwork and requested for a hearing to sort out a temporary custody schedule as he alleged that Jeannie has been keeping him from seeing their child.

In response, Jeannie claimed that she has given him all the dates he has asked for and gave him an extended period of time with her over the Christmas holiday.

The former Dancing With The Stars contestant also stated that she believes they are strong candidates for the option to be sent to mediation by a judge to instead work out the conflict themselves.

The court documents stated that Jeannie ‘remains committed to facilitating and encouraging’ the involvement of Jeezy in their toddler’s life.

She also said she wants to ‘foster an open, supportive and safe environment for both parents to actively participate’ in Monaco’s life.

However, her attorneys said she is concerned about the ‘safety and security’ but ‘is absolutely not gatekeeping’ him from spending time with their daughter.

‘It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place,’ Mai’s attorneys wrote in the legal paperwork.

They provided examples ‘such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past’.
