Pat McAfee claims Aaron Rodgers was 'just s***-talking' Jimmy Kimmel

Pat McAfee incredulously branded New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ suggestion that Jimmy Kimmel could be named on the Epstein list as just ‘s*** talk’.

A list of disgraced financier Epstein’s associates from court filings is set to be made public in the first few days of 2024 and during his guest appearance on the Pat McAfee show on Tuesday, Rodgers claimed that the late show host could be among the names on the list.

Rodgers’ comments sparked criticism online with Kimmel taking to social media to brand the NFL star an ‘a**hole’ and claim he put his family in danger.

During Wednesday’s episode of the show, McAfee addressed the controversy and apologized for Rodgers’ comments.

However, the host appeared to brush the allegations off as banter from Rodgers’ side.

‘There were some things that were, probably, I mean we’ll have to hear from Aaron on that, meant to be s*** talk joke that can become a very serious allegation that leads to a massive overnight story,’ McAfee said.

Rodgers is paid to appear on McAfee’s show with the former NFL player telling The New York Post in October that the quarterback ‘has made over $1million with us, for sure.’

A spokesperson declined to comment on Tuesday night when he asked if they are considering Rodgers’ future as a weekly guest, according to AJ Perez of Front Office Sports.

‘But I can see exactly why Jimmy Kimmel felt the way he felt, especially with his position but I think Aaron was just trying to talk s***,’ McAfee added.

‘Did it go too far? Er, Jimmy Kimmel certainly said that was the case. But that is Aaron and Jimmy, they’ve been [jousting a bit].

‘We obviously don’t like the fact that we’re associated with anything negative ever. We like our show to be an uplifting one, a happy one, a fun one. But it’s because we talk s*** and make light of everything, that some things people obviously get very p***ed off about, especially when they’re that serious allegations.

‘So we apologize for being a part of it. Can’t wait to hear what Aaron has to say about it. Hopefully those two will just be able to settle this.’

McAfee even appeared to suggest that Rodgers had a valid motive for the comment after Kimmel previously mocked him.

‘Understand why Jimmy go incredibly p***ed, completely understand that but I also think that Aaron is like, “Hey, this guys has said some things about me,”‘ AcAfee continued.

‘He’s just trying to s*** talk, I don’t think he meant anything else but he’s going to have to clarify that, For us, we would just like to continue being a place where people can escape life. In that moment, we didn’t for a lot of folks and a lot of reasons but we shall move on.’

The jibe from Rodgers came during his latest weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. He started outlining a conspiracy theory about the colors of the NFL’s Super Bowl emblems and predicting the teams who will play the big game that season.

The panel were left baffled by the NFL star’s long-winded explanation, and co-host AJ Hawk interrupted to jokingly ask if it involved the Epstein list.

Rodgers seized on the opportunity to slam his longtime nemesis, saying: ‘There’s a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, who are hoping that list doesn’t come out.’

McAfee then joked the quarterback had been ‘waiting in his wine cellar’ for the release of the court documents.

‘I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I will definitely be popping some sort of bottle,’ Rodgers said.

The Super Bowl winner’s swipe at Kimmel came after the comedian mercilessly mocked him for discussing the Epstein list.

During an episode of his eponymous late-night show in March of last year, Kimmel took aim at Rodgers for his comments on Epstein and UFOs.

On a February appearance on the Pat McAfee show, Rodgers had shared some of his views on the topics and Kimmel re-ran the clip during his monologue.

‘I believe that this has been going on for a long time. Interesting timing on everything. There’s a lot of other things going on in the world,’ Rodgers said.

The show then jumped to a segment where Rodgers said, ‘Did you hear about the Epstein client list about to be released?

‘There’s some files that have some names on it that might be getting released pretty soon.’

Kimmel then said ‘It might be time to revisit that concussion protocol, Aaron,’ after referring to him as a ‘tin-foil hatter’ earlier in the segment.

Rodgers’ then-Green Bay Packers teammate David Bakhtiari hit back at Kimmel on social media.

‘Tell me you’re on the Jeffrey Epstein client list, without telling me you’re on the Jeffrey Epstein client list…,’ he tweeted.

Some 177 people will be identified across hundreds of files which will shed new light on the late financier’s sex trafficking operation and his network of influence.

Judge Loretta Preska wrote ‘unsealed in full’ next to the names of 177 Does who are Epstein’s friends, recruiters, victims and others whose names will be revealed when the material is released.

Kimmel also previously tore into Rodgers for trying to hide his unvaccinated status, back in November 2021.

In the blistering disclosure, Kimmel slammed Rodgers for stating that he tested negative 300 times before testing positive, comparing the logic to that of a 95-year-old grandma justifying keeping her driver’s license.

‘The fact of the matter is the risk of dying from Covid is eleven times higher if you are not vaccinated,’ Kimmel said. ‘This is a dumb conversation, but you’ll never guess who this wack Packer has been getting his medical advice from.’

Rodgers unbashful discussion of his anti-vax status also previously created controversy on the Pat McAfee Show.

Most recently, he made headlines with a bizarre anti-vax on the show, which airs on ESPN, in December, when he claimed that people should reveal their vaccination status before offering opinions.

‘I think what we should do, Pat, is the same people who are criticizing me or coming up with these conspiracies about my injury or whatever — before they talk, let’s go back to 2021 and let’s make people say their vax status to start,’ Rodgers said.

‘Then that’ll frame all these comments in the right window,’ Rodgers continued.

‘Everybody could know at that point that they have their puppet masters who are puppeteering them to say this certain thing about this guy and that they’re still upset about the fact that I believe in medical freedom.’

Rodgers did state mid-tangent that he was suspicious ESPN would cut away from his comments due to their controversial nature.  The network aired them in full live.

He previously took aim at Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce on the show over the tight end’s vaccine TV advertisements, branding him ‘Mr. Pfizer.’
