Days after first asserting that singer Damilola Afolabi, better known by her stage as L.A.X, has herpes, a Nigerian woman made a declaration.
The woman, going under the handle @edna_reese, claimed that the singer had herpes in a string of tweets that she made on January 2, 2024, on X (previously Twitter) on her social media website.
She made her comment in reaction to the artist posting a romantic selfie online.
@edna_reese cited the tweet in response to the singer’s images, asserting that the artist is infected with the herpes virus.
She wrote: ‘Rasaki wicked herpes giver. Omo! Love and light to you.’

A few days later, the woman disclosed that she had been detained not long after claiming that L.A.X had the herpes virus in a fresh post on her social profile.
She continued by saying that she had been held for two days before being freed. She also stated in her statement that she was demanding 500 million Naira for the singer’s alleged slander.
She wrote: “I was locked up, and I just got out. There is freedom of speech, but I cannot guarantee freedom after speech.”
“I lost my freedom, and I came out to a 500 million Naira letter of demand over defamatory information. Sorry, Zaza! I will not be commenting on this again, guys.”
