A new trailer has been released for the upcoming Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero!, officially unveiled at the Dragon Games Battle Hour event in Los Angeles.
Dragon Ball fans have been awaiting more updates about Sparking! Zero since the reveal of the announcement trailer — a short one-minute video that showcased exciting footage of Goku and Vegeta exchanging blows, eventually transforming into their super saiyan blue forms. The prefacing words “A new Budokai Tenkaichi begins” all but confirmed that the upcoming game would be the long-awaited follow-up to Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, which came out in 2007. The new trailer, seen below, is just a brief showcase of what awaits fans in the long-awaited follow-up.

Dragon Ball’s Goku Endorses One of America’s Most Popular Cereals
Dragon Ball’s latest collaboration sees Goku, Vegeta, Future Trunks and more become the face of one of America’s most popular cereals.
In the trailer, Goku and Vegeta battle it out while showcasing a number of additional forms, including the legendary Super Saiyan God form that made its debut during Dragon Ball Super. Although not much additional information about the narrative is unveiled, Goku prefaces his fight with the line, “My name is Goku and Earth is my home,” suggesting that the included match is simply an introductory bout between the two Saiyans. Vegeta’s Saiyan ape form is also shown, which famously appeared in Dragon Ball Z during his first major battle with Goku.

Cell Max Gets a Perfect Form in Viral Dragon Ball Super Artwork
A Dragon Ball fan artist has reimagined Cell Max from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero into the Perfect Cell form of the original DBZ villain.
Dragon Ball is going out all for its 40th anniversary. In addition to Bandai Namco’s revival of the Budokai Tenkaichi franchise, a brand-new series is also set to air. The upcoming anime, Dragon Ball Daima, follows Goku and his friends as they embark on a journey to break a spell that turns them all into children. While initially skeptical about the concept, Dragon Ball fans have become more hopeful after learning that the anime will recreate classic elements from the original manga and focus more on traditional martial arts than Z and Super. Original franchise creator Akira Toriyama is creating Daima‘s story with composition assistance from Yuuko Kakihara (Cells at Work!, RIN-NE).
Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam. A specific release date has not yet been announced.
