A TARGET shopper has blasted the store for an anti-theft measure and called on the retailer to make a change.

The customer shared a TikTok video where the security tags were still stuck on two items of clothing that she had bought.

In the video, the shopper (@thepacemakernurse) complained about the situation and said she used self-checkout to buy her items.

She showed how the red security tags were still on her clothes and used a flathead screwdriver to remove the tag.

The mom and nurse had purchased a T-shirt and a pair of scrubs.

“Do I have to do everything around here,” she said.

“I swear I am not driving back to that store.”

She carried on the rant and added that she did not think it was right for Target to put sensors on their items in this case.

“Apparently I’m not checking my clothes for sensors either because I don’t go shop at Target so that I can remove these things,” she said.

“If we are going to do self-checkout can we not put these on items?

“It was a $16 shirt.”

In the comments, other TikTokers shared their thoughts on the video and shared how the shopper could avoid this issue in the future.

“They have one of those magnet things and self checkouts,” one person said.

“I work at target, ask one of us and we will take it off,” another TikToker commented.

“Swim suits and Wild and fable have them. They are also bright red lmao.”

Another commenter agreed with shoppers’ frustration and shared their experiences with security tags.

“THEY NEVER GO OFF I get all the way home before I realize they are on it,” they said.

The U.S. Sun had reached out to Target for comment.
