Vivek Ramaswamy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on August 9, 1985.
He attended Harvard University, earning his bachelor’s degree in biology, and then acquired his JD from Yale University.
Ramaswamy is the author of Woke, Inc: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam.
Additionally, he is the co-founder of Strive Asset Management, an Ohio-based investment firm, and the founder of the healthcare company, Roivant Sciences.
On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, Ramaswamy announced his presidential bid on Tucker Carlson’s former Fox News show. The former biotech executive and hedge fund manager aired a video promoting the ideas of free speech and accountability.
Ramaswamy made it to the Iowa caucuses on January 15, 2024, before dropping out of the race after coming in fourth place.
Ramaswamy announced he was pulling his bid saying: “As of this moment, we are going to suspend this presidential campaign.”
He went on to say moving forward, Donald Trump will now have his “full endorsement.”
In addition to his political endeavors, Ramaswamy is married to physician and assistant professor, Apoorva Tewari Ramaswamy.
