Tre Lowe Tinnitus Diagnosis: Tre Lowe Health Battle Revealed
Tre, 49, admitted that his diagnosis was so bad that one day, he would be on Top Of The Pops with Kylie, and the next day, he would want to die.
Tinnitus is the term for hearing sounds that come from inside your body rather than from an outside source and is often described as ‘ringing in the ears’.
The musician, who is one-half of the garage music act Architects, looked like he was living the dream life in the noughties, but his reality was far from it.
Speaking to the Sun, Tre opened up about his health condition and admitted that he would tell himself that if it got any worse, he could jump off a building.
‘Life was crazy, it’s no wonder I had to create this world where if it got worse I would jump off a building.
‘It should have been the best time of my life but it wasn’t.’
His tinnitus first appeared when he was just 15 in 1990 and came back again in 2008.
After managing his condition the majority of his life, Tre revealed that he doesn’t know what silence sounds like and had a rumbling in his head.
Tre explained that knowing he could jump off a building was his way of taking control and that he isn’t suicidal and loves his life.
He said there was one time he woke up deaf and immediately thought to find the tallest building but quickly researched what had happened and how to fix it because he could not do that to his friends and family.
