10-week-old girl dies in case of co-sleeping, police say

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 10-week-old girl was found unresponsive Sunday afternoon at a home on Jacksonville’s Westside and died at the hospital.

Police said they were called to the home on Lambing Road, just over a block north of 103rd Street, around 3:20 p.m. Sunday.

Paramedics rushed the girl to a local hospital, but she did not survive.

Investigators said they have learned that several people were in the home when the girl was found unresponsive and it “appears to be a case of co-sleeping.”

They said they are still looking into the incident and ask anyone with information to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office by phone at 904-630-0500, by email at jsocrimetips@jaxsheriff.org or via CrimeStoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
