SUPER Tuesday is well underway as Donald Trump dominates the first primary results.
President Joe Biden will likely secure the Democrat nomination. Biden has already won Iowa, Vermont, Virginia, North Carolina, Maine, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Arkansas.
All eyes are on the Republican primary as former Governor Nikki Haley is hoping to pull off a last-ditch effort to take on former President Donald Trump.
Trump is the clear frontrunner and has already won the Republican presidential primaries in North Carolina, Maine, Oklahoma, Virginia, Tennessee, Texas, and Arkansas.
However, Haley is nowhere near giving up as she urged social media users on X, formerly Twitter, to cast their votes.
“There’s still time to make your voice heard!” she shared at 7 pm ET, as polls closed in Virginia and Vermont.
“Most polls in the east and central time zones are still open. Get out and vote!”

Voters are frustrated with Super Tuesday options
Frustrated Americans have told The U.S. Sun “none of the above,” and bemoaned that they’re being “held hostage” by the electoral system as much of the country went to the polls on Super Tuesday.
The U.S. Sun took to the streets of New York to gauge the thoughts of voters as Election Day is just six months away.
Despite the extended coverage of the election, many Americans seem unimpressed ahead of 2024’s race.
“It’s like deja vu all over again,” complained Kelsey, a New Yorker who admitted to feeling “dismayed” at the prospect of a repeat of the 2020 election.

Arkansas results revealed
Joe Biden has won the Democratic presidential primary in Arkansas, according to NBC News’ projection.
Donald Trump has won the Republican presidential primary in Arkansas, securing all 27 of the state’s delegates.

Hope for Nikki Haley in Vermont?
Nikki Haley has yet to win a single state’s primary, but there’s hope in Vermont.
Haley is currently at 48.5% in Vermont’s Republican presidential primary – pulling ahead of Donald Trump, who is sitting with 47.9%, according to Fox News.
However, only 38% of votes are tallied and it remains too soon to call.

President Joe Biden has won the Massachusetts Democratic primary.
This means he’s secured the state’s 70 delegates.

Historian’s prediction for 2024 election, continued
Historian Allan Lichtman coined the 13-key algorithm that has correctly predicted every presidential election since 1984.
If five or fewer statements are false, the incumbent party is predicted to win.
But if six or more statements are false, then the sitting president is poised to lose.
Lichtman told The U.S Sun that Biden already has two keys down and Trump arguably has three.
The historian has yet to make an official prediction, but when asked what the general election will come down to, he said, “It’s going to turn on whether we continue to have domestic tranquility and the absence of a real scandal – not anything any candidate is going to say or do in the campaign.”

Historian’s prediction for 2024 election
Historian Allan Lichtman, who has correctly predicted each presidential election since 1984, hinted that Biden may have an advantage in the upcoming historical election.
Lichtman predicted Trump’s win in 2020 and asked if history could repeat itself, he said, “I doubt it, but you never know.”
He added that the Democrats’ best chance to secure a victory was nominating Biden, “One of my keys is incumbency, Biden secures that. Another one of my keys is an internal party battle, Biden secures that,” he said.
“There are still many keys that are outstanding that could sink Biden’s candidacy,” Lichtman added.

Donald Trump has won the Republican presidential primary in Virginia, according to the Associated Press.
Joe Biden has also won the Democratic presidential primary in Virginia.

Challengers respond to Sinema’s announcement
The candidates running for Sinema’s now-empty Senate seat have responded after the news that she wouldn’t run for re-election.
“As we look ahead, Arizona is at a crossroads. Protecting abortion access, tackling housing affordability, securing our water supply, defending our democracy — all of this and more is on the line,” Gallego said in a statement.
“I welcome all Arizonans, including Senator Sinema, to join me in that mission.”

Arizona Independent Senator Krysten Sinema announced today that she would not be seeking re-election in the fall.
Sinema posted a video to her X, formerly Twitter, account telling voters, “Because I choose civility, understanding, listening, working together to get stuff done, I will leave the Senate at the end of this year.”
Republican Kari Lake and Democrat Ruben Gallego are running for Sinema’s empty Senate seat.

President Joe Biden has won the Iowa Democratic Caucus.
Biden won the mail-in caucus with 11,083 votes.
The caucus started on January 15, and voters had over a month to send in their preference cards.

Other races to look out for – Alabama redistricting
Redistricting in Alabama has resulted in an incumbent vs. incumbent race for a seat in the House.
The newly drawn lines were an attempt to correct racial divisions and create another district where a majority of voters were Black.
