Despite the extended coverage of the election, many Americans seem unimpressed ahead of 2024’s race.

If five or fewer statements are false, the incumbent party is predicted to win.

But if six or more statements are false, then the sitting president is poised to lose.

Lichtman told The U.S Sun that Biden already has two keys down and Trump arguably has three.

The historian has yet to make an official prediction, but when asked what the general election will come down to, he said, “It’s going to turn on whether we continue to have domestic tranquility and the absence of a real scandal – not anything any candidate is going to say or do in the campaign.”

  • Historian’s prediction for 2024 election

Historian Allan Lichtman, who has correctly predicted each presidential election since 1984, hinted that Biden may have an advantage in the upcoming historical election.

Lichtman predicted Trump’s win in 2020 and asked if history could repeat itself, he said, “I doubt it, but you never know.”

He added that the Democrats’ best chance to secure a victory was nominating Biden, “One of my keys is incumbency, Biden secures that. Another one of my keys is an internal party battle, Biden secures that,” he said.

“There are still many keys that are outstanding that could sink Biden’s candidacy,” Lichtman added.

Kari Lake said in a statement, “We may not agree on everything, but I know she shares my love for Arizona.
