Lauren Boebert asks judge to drop restraining order against ex-husband

Lauren Boebert has asked a judge to drop a temporary restraining order against her ex-husband Jayson, admitting today that the pair have come to a ‘strict agreement.’

The Republican congresswoman appeared in court via Zoom and told a Colorado judge she no longer wanted to extend the temporary restraining order she filed after she and Jayson had a public spat at a restaurant in January.

‘Jayson and I have come to some pretty strict agreements,’ Lauren told the Judge Jonathan Pototsky during the 15-minute hearing on Monday. ‘Hopefully those are followed and we don’t have to pursue another one on the future.’

The congresswoman replied, ‘No,’ when asked if she was coerced or threatened  about her decision to drop the restraining order.

The judge, however, approved a protective order against Jayson regarding son Tyler, 18.

Jayson Boebert also was arrested and charged in January after Tyler claimed his father pushed him to the ground and dug his thumb into his mouth, according to a search warrant.

The teen also told deputies his father was allegedly armed with a riffle.

Judge Jonathan Pototsky said Jayson can have contact with Tyler since the two live together, but ordered him not to threaten or harass the teen.

Jayson Boebert was charged with misdemeanor harassment, prohibited use of weapons and assault in the third-degree for the incident involving Tyler.

Jayson, who appeared at the Rifle, Colorado courthouse in a dark suit on Monday, remained quiet during the brief hearing.

Andrew Nolan, Jayson’s attorney, told the judge he is seeking more evidence, but he added there could be some complications with obtaining information since Tyler could be facing criminal charges in an unrelated case.

Tyler was arrested in February for a string of vehicle break-ins and property theft. His most serious charges include four felony counts for criminal possession of an ID and conspiracy to commit a felony.

‘I think I’m going to need to file a motion for specific discovery,’ Nolan told the judge. ‘As the court may know, Tyler are charges pending against Tyler Boebert.

‘Tyler is the named victim in the third-degree assault case .. so we essentially have a Brady/Giglio scenario,’ Nolan said, referring to laws that require the prosecution to turn in evidence to the defense.

Tyler was not present in court on Monday, by the prosecutors said they have been in touch with the teen.

Tyler’s February arrest isn’t the first for the teenage Boebert, who shares a son with an ex-girlfriend.

In April of last year, Tyler’s former friend Noble D’Amato, 19, alleged he was severely injured when Tyler was driving and flipped his father’s SUV into a creek bed.

D’Amato said the incident left him with multiple concussions and a debilitating hand injury.

He also accused the political family of covering it up.

Jayson, 43, and Lauren, 37, married in 2005 and divorced last year.

The former couple had a very public altercation at a restaurant called Miner’s Claim in Silt, Colorado where Jayson accused the controversial congresswoman of punching him in the face.

Silt Police has since cleared Lauren of any wrongdoing.

Boebert still represents Colorado’s 3rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives, but announced that she was moving her campaign to the state’s 4th district.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com last week, Jayson said his ex-wife offered to drop the restraining order request if he agreed to ‘certain terms.’

‘I replied to her that I do not negotiate with terrorists or kidnappers,’ Boebert said.

Since then, the former couple seemed to have squashed their squabble.

The congresswoman asked the judge to remain on the court call to hear the outcome of Tyler’s protective order against Jayson.

Nolan said his client did not object to the protective order as long as the no-contact order was lifted since the father and son still live together.

Jayson was ordered to return to court on April 15.
