The new episode of Dateline has highlighted the infamous act of Shelia Eddy and her parents’ failed attempt to cover the homicide of Skylar Neese. 

On July 6, 2012, teenagers Shelia Eddy and Rachel Shoaf lured their best friend Skylar Neese into the woods of Pennsylvania.

They had told her they were going there to smoke marijuana together. However, they did something awful to Skylar once they were in the woods.

Skylar Neese lost her life at the hands of her friends, Shelia Eddy and Rachel Shoaf.

Even more disturbing is that Shelia Eddy pretended to help look for Skylar when she was reported missing after this happened.

It’s sadly true that teenagers can sometimes be cruel when they decide to exclude or push out a friend from their group.

Shelia Eddy Is The Only Child Of Her Parents

The young teenager, Shila Eddy, was born to her parents, Tara Clendenen and Greg Eddy.

She didn’t get to live with her biological father, Greg Eddy, as her mom divorced him in 2000. 

Tara remarried Jim Clendenen, and the couple commuted to Morgantown, West Virginia, with Shelia.

So, the teenager started attending University High School in Morgantown, which was closer to their new home.

Tara and Greg left no stone unturned in loving and supporting their daughter, Shelia.

Moreover, no one suspected anything unusual when Sheila went out pretending to look for Skylar Neese along with her best friend Rachel Shoaf, before they committed the dreadful deed.

Shelia Eddy Mother Fought Back For The Lawsuit

Tara Clendenen filed a motion stating that she shouldn’t be held responsible for the events in July 2012.

Clendenen argued that she didn’t have control over her daughter because Shelia was staying at the Shoaf’s house on the night in question.

She also said that she didn’t entrust her car, which was involved in the incident, to her daughter.

Plus, she claimed that Skylar’s injuries weren’t caused by the car, and there’s no proof Shelia couldn’t drive it.

Clendenen pointed out that on social media, Mary Neese said she didn’t blame Eddy’s parents for her actions.

Because of that, Clendenen argued she shouldn’t be held responsible. She also said Skylar’s parents should have supervised her better.
