Kaley Cuoco took to Instagram to celebrate her daughter Matilda’s first birthday in a sweet tribute post on Saturday.

The 38-year-old actress, who shares her daughter with boyfriend Tom Pelphrey, posted a reel that showed a carousel of photos that highlighted her favorite moments with her infant. 

She penned a heartwarming message to her daughter as she paired the post with Gabby Barrett’s Growin’ Up Raising You:

‘Matilda you are 1! Best year of our lives .. you are a gift from above and have brought the deepest perfect joy to our entire family!

‘Dada and I love you more than we could possibly ever explain . I cannot wait to see who you become, but for now, please stay my precious 1 year old forever.’

The Camarillo, California native thanked her husband by adding, ‘@tommypelphrey thank you for being the best daddy (besides my own) the world has ever seen. She’s perfect Happy birthday, angel girl.’

The post was a hit as Amy Bolandhauser hit like and commented, ‘The most beautiful girl! Happy Birthday Matilda! We love you so much!’

Cuoco recently opened up about parenting to USA Today and offered prospective mothers and fathers a bit of guidance regarding parenting advice.

‘My advice is don’t take any advice because every kid is different. What my kid needs is not what your kid needs, and our household is different than yours, and it’s survival. You do what you can do,’ she said.

Cuoco went on to state that she was not above distracting Matilda with screen time, although she understood that other methods of parenting call for strict restriction of access to television and movies.

‘If she’s going crazy, and I plop her on the couch to watch a Disney movie, like thank you, you get 10 minutes. That’s great. To me, that’s wonderful. There’s maybe the next mom who doesn’t want them to watch TV, and that’s fine too,’ she said.

The actress also spoke about how her daughter had developed an affinity for her phone strap.

‘She has every toy in the universe, but all she wants is the leather strap from my phone…I ordered two leather straps on Amazon. I was like, “Here.” So she chews on my leather strap. That’s what she prefers,’ she stated.

The birthday post comes just a week over the passing of the Cuoco family’s German Shepard, Blue.

Last Wednesday, Kaley  posted heartwarming pictures of the ‘gentle’ dog as she penned a long homage to him expressing her grief as she mourns having to put him down.

‘I have cried harder over the loss of this gorgeous creature than I have in long time,’ she said in a snippet of the caption.

The post went viral with her celebrity pals as they took to the comment section to support her and Pelphrey during this difficult time.

Stars like Taylor Lautner, Justin Theroux, and Amy Bolandhauser hit the ‘like’ button to express their condolences as they wrote their sympathies under the post.

The actress noted that Blue was more of a family member than a pet as she reminisced over the time spent with him in life.

‘We are so lucky to be loved by animals. They are gifts from above and we have been given the honor to cherish them on this earth. To be their voices. To teach our children how to treat them and how to love them. Blue, it was an honor to be your second favorite human down here on earth,’ she finished. 

The Flight Attendant star and Ozark actor welcomed the arrival of their daughter back in March of 2023 after publicly confirming their relationship just 10 months before. 

‘We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle,’ Cuoco penned announcing the birth, ‘We are blessed beyond belief @tommypelphrey didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did.’

Pelphrey praised his partner’s motherly abilities and revealed that she is thriving, ‘She is so good at it, it’s like all the qualities that I love Kaley about times 100. She’s so funny and she’s so nurturing and easy and playful and loving … It’s beautiful.’
