Residents of New York City, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania felt the ground shake and rattle for about 30 seconds before the tremors came to an abrupt stop.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake began at about 10:23 am ET.
Residents recalled feeling the ground beneath them shake, with some witnessing their homes and cars shaking along with it.
Minor incidents were reported, from products falling off shelves to wall decor crashing down.
The earthquake reportedly only lasted for about 25 to 30 seconds, and by 10:25 am ET, the ground had stabilized, and the only thing left shaken were the unsuspecting witnesses of the event.
