ALACHUA, Fla. – Alachua Police Department is seeking help from the public in identifying a male suspect who robbed the Royal Inn yesterday at about 10:28 a.m.
On Saturday, May 11, at 10:28 a.m., the black male entered the lobby of the Royal Inn (16305 NW 162nd Lane), walked past the clerk, went behind the counter, and took cash from the register. The suspect can be heard telling the clerk, “Lady, if you don’t want to die today, don’t move.” He continued to repeat similar phrases as he walked out with cash from the register. After leaving the hotel, the suspect ran eastbound toward the Circle K/Wendy’s.
The suspect is a black male, approximately 5’10” tall, of slender build, and was wearing an unzipped black hoodie, no shirt, light-colored blue jeans with designed rear pockets, black shoes, a gold chain, a red bandanna around his face, and gloves.
