Bryony Page, 33, achieved her goal of winning an Olympic gold medal in trampoline, completing her collection of medals in every color.
With her gold medal, Bryony completes her Olympic record. She previously won silver in Rio 2016 and bronze in Tokyo 2020.
Bryony discussed the amazing outcome and said:
“Finished it! I can’t believe it; this is just amazing. I never would have dreamed that this day would arrive. I love this sport. I can barely contain my shock at what has happened. It is a wonderful feeling. Right now, I’m feeling a lot of emotions, including astonishment, surprise, overwhelm, and everything in between. The medal is really lovely and features a small image of the Eiffel Tower. So, yes, mate, I finished it.”
Who Is Bryony Page?
Bryony Kate Frances Page was born in Crewe, England on 10 December 1990.
She is 5 ft 8 in (173 cm) and weighs 136 lb (62 kg).
She went to Malbank School, Brine Leas School, and Sixth Form College. When she was nine years old, she started trampolining.
Page was awarded a sports scholarship to study biology at the University of Sheffield.
Her dissertation, which examined dinosaur noises, earned her a first-class honors degree in 2015. She dedicated herself full-time to trampolining after graduating.
She is an individual trampoline gymnast from Britain. In the individual trampoline event at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, she took home the gold medal. In addition to being a member of the British squad that won team gold at the 2013 global championships and all-around team gold in 2022, she is the 2021 and 2023 world champion for women’s solo trampoline.
When Page won the silver medal in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, she became the first trampolinist from Great Britain to win an Olympic medal.
She earned the bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Following her victory in 2024, Page became the first British gymnast to win an Olympic gold medal in trampolining and the first British woman to win an individual gold medal in gymnastics.
