GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Quintnellia Kierra Simmons, 25, was arrested yesterday and charged with burglary and aggravated assault after allegedly kicking in the door of an apartment and threatening a woman with a chair.

At about 4:00 p.m. on October 12, a Gainesville Police Department officer responded to Brandywine Apartments (2811 SW Archer Road), where Simmons allegedly kicked in the door of an apartment and entered without permission. Simmons allegedly tensed up and pulled away from the officer as she was being detained and was also charged with resisting an officer without violence.

Simmons has two misdemeanor convictions (one violent). Judge Adam Lee ordered her held on $26,000 bail.
