Pamela Bondi was born in Tampa, Florida, on November 17, 1965.
From January 4, 2011, to January 8, 2019, this American lawyer, lobbyist, and politician held the position of 37th Florida attorney general. She was the first woman elected to the position and a Republican.
Florida’s Temple Terrace is Bondi’s hometown. Joseph Bondi, her father, served on the municipal council before becoming Temple Terrace’s mayor. She graduated from Tampa’s C. Leon King High School. Bondi was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority throughout her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where she earned a degree in criminal justice in 1987. On June 24, 1991, Bondi was admitted to the Florida Bar.
She graduated from Stetson Law School with a Juris Doctor in 1990, and on June 24, 1991, she was admitted to the Florida Bar.
Bondi served as one of President Donald Trump’s defense attorneys during his initial impeachment trial in 2020. By 2024, she was in charge of the America First Policy Institute’s legal division, which was affiliated with Trump.
A House Ethics Committee inquiry is currently underway into Gaetz’s alleged usage of illegal drugs, paying for sex, and having sex with a 17-year-old underage.
According to a statement released by Trump, Bondi, 59, will be entrusted with returning “the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting Crime, and Making America Safe Again.”
