Christina Aguilera claps back at comments about her looks after Ozempic speculation: ‘No one deserves an explanation’

Christina Aguilera is leaving the haters in 2024.

The “Burlesque” star clapped back at people who have questioned her appearance on Instagram Tuesday amid never-ending Ozempic speculation.

Aguilera, 44, began the video montage with screenshots of comments about her looks, from praise to criticism and everything in between.

The video then cut to snippets of special moments throughout the year set to upbeat music about confidence.

“This year, doing something a little different,” she wrote in the caption. “This is a reminder to everyone that you are your OWN STORYTELLER in your OWN LIFE. No one else can dictate who you are. No one deserves an explanation.”

After decades in the public eye, the hitmaker has learned that you can’t please everyone — and she is tired of trying to.

“I am evolved enough to know that nothing comes easy and no one is perfect,” she added. “Everyone will judge you. No matter WHAT you do. And/ or what you don’t do. Acceptance comes with accepting yourself first.”

She continued, “And the difficult journey it takes sometimes to get there. I celebrate everyone taking the time to put one step in front of the next everyday in order to build the next version of themselves for the better. Allowing yourself grace, patience and respect…”

Aguilera’s looks became a hot topic of conversation in May after she debuted a much-slimmer figure at a concert in Mexico.

While the “Beautiful” singer has not directly addressed speculation she is on Ozempic, she recently got candid about how constant scrutiny over her body has impacted her over the years.

During an August interview with Glamour, Aguilera admitted that her self-worth was dependent on “how skinny [she] was” for most of her early career.

“When you’re a teenager, you have a very different body than when you’re in your 20s,” she told the outlet.

“I started to fill out, and then that was unacceptable because it was like, ‘Oh, she’s getting thicker.’ Then I had industry people: ‘They liked your body and how you were as a skinny teenager.’”

The “Genie in a Bottle” singer, who rose to fame at 19, explained that age and time helped her realize that her worth wasn’t tied to her weight.

“I have a maturity now where I just don’t give a f–k about your opinion. I’m not going to take it on,” she told the outlet.

“It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business.”
