The Royal Observer reports that Prince William will reportedly take Kate Middleton with a much-needed getaway in the new year. The destination is the Isles of Scilly, a destination that reportedly holds deep personal significance for the couple.
The couple have visited the destination several times in the past. The last time they vacationed there, in 2020, they were accompanied by their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The Isle of Scilly is important to the royal family because it is part of the Duchy of Cornwall. The Duchy is owned by Prince William, therefore making it the perfect, private place for a family getaway.
When Prince William and Prince Harry were younger, their parents, then-Prince Charles and Princess Diana, took them there. The family stayed at Tamarisk House.
Before 2025 begins, Prince William and Kate Middleton will close out 2024 with the royal family at Sandringham. They will also spend time with Kate’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, at Amner Hall.
