Tennis phenom, Naomi Osaka, recently delighted her fans with an adorable Instagram post featuring her daughter, Shai. The tennis champion shared a carousel of photos of her little one, showcasing their special bond.

Osaka, who welcomed Shai with partner rapper, Cordae, in July of 2023, has always kept her personal life relatively private, but this glimpse into her world has fans celebrating the sweet moments she enjoys with her mini-me.

In the now deleted post, the 27-year-old captioned the carousel of images, “2024 wrap but it’s pics of me and the cutest girl in the world.”

In a December 2023 interview with InStyle Magazine, Osaka revealed more about her pregnancy journey, saying that pregnancy is “kind of rough.”

“I don’t think people know how hard pregnancy is; no one really talks about it as much,” she said. “Going into it, you kind of think, ‘Oh, it’s this beautiful journey.’ But it’s kind of rough.”

Osaka told the outlet that she had a myriad of complications throughout her pregnancy which included testing positive for Group B streptococcus, which is a bacterial infection that can give newborns meningitis or sepsis. The new mother also revealed that she labored for more than 12 hours.

Osaka has also been very open and candid about her postpartum journey. In a July 2024 interview with People Magazine, she shared that she is finding a balance between prioritizing her health as a mom and as an athlete.

“I am learning new ways to take care of myself both on and off the court, not only for myself, but for my family,” Osaka told the outlet. “Being intentional is important when it comes to prioritizing your health as a mom and an athlete. Finding balance in all areas of life including training is important. I believe continuing to nurture my body and mind is what will allow me to achieve my goals on and off the tennis court.”
