Joe Biden seemed to trip up over his words when singing the 'Happy Birthday' song

JOE Biden has been mercilessly mocked online after blundering while singing the Happy Birthday song.

The bumbling outgoing commander-in-chief, 82, was serenading a man on stage but seemed to trip up when it came to his name.

Biden led the audience in the rendition of the classic birthday tune.

The young man looked slightly embarrassed as he smiled while the president was singing to him.

Biden seemed to stumble within seconds.

“Happy Birthday to…” he said.

Biden seemed to murmur, and his voice suddenly slowed.

The name Biden was trying to pronounce was Alicio.

Critics were quick to pounce on Biden’s error – with some even urging him to resign.

“Send him back to the beach, I can’t take it anymore,” one viewer blasted.

Biden has often taken beach trips to Delaware during the last year of his presidency.

In November, footage showed the unsteady president trying to navigate the sand at Rehoboth Beach.

Biden has given Trump the green light to pardon people – but prez-elect will be more mature about it, Scaramucci insists

Viewers also labeled Biden an embarrassment and sarcastically posted he was “sharp as a tack.”

“Every day this guy is in office seems like a year,” one said.

“Time has never gone so slow.”

“The lights are not on in Joe’s Belfry,” another slammed.

“America: Joe Biden is mocking you.”

RNC Research, a pro-Republican social media account, labeled Biden a “national embarrassment.”

Others said January 20, when Donald Trump is inaugurated, cannot come soon enough.

BIDEN’S FINAL DAYS

Lame duck Biden has been carrying out a raft of ceremonial duties in his final weeks in office.

He has issued a raft of pardons and sparked fury when he spared shamed son Hunter from a prison sentence.

Biden pardoned his son, who had been convicted of firearm charges, in December – despite vowing he would not do so previously.

It raised speculation over whether he would issue pre-emptive pardons to Trump’s critics.

Adam Schiff, who led the first impeachment effort against Trump, and staunch Trump critic Liz Cheney, a former Republican representative, are among the names touted.

Days before Christmas, Biden commuted 1,500 sentences in what was the largest-ever act of clemency.

And, he dished out the Presidential Medal of Freedom to A-listers, including Back to the Future Star Michael J Fox and Denzel Washington.

LITANY OF GAFFES

Biden was forced to drop out of the presidential race in the summer following a shambolic debate performance against Trump.

His poor showing heightened concerns that he was no longer up to the job.

Throughout his presidency, Biden has been forced to bat back against speculation that he was too old to be president.

But, his time in the Oval Office has been dominated by a litany of gaffes.

Biden suspended his presidential campaign on July 21, but days before, he called Ukranian president Zelensky “Putin” at the Nato summit.

He also accidentally said “Vice President Trump” during a press conference at the summit.

In another embarrassing episode, he mistakenly claimed he had been vice president for 12 years.

Biden’s mobility has also been called into question after falling up the stairs of Air Force One and suffering a hard fall in July 2023.

January 6, 2025, marks four years since the Capitol riots, and Biden is traveling to New Orleans after the city was rocked by a terror attack that saw 15 people dead.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris, who was the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee following Biden’s withdrawal, will certify her own election defeat as lawmakers verify the results of the presidential contest.
