Nikki Glaser poked fun at Benny Blanco over his engagement to Selena Gomez during her opening monologue at the 2025 Golden Globes on Sunday.

The comedian started off the awards ceremony by playfully poking fun at some of the actors in the audience, but then turned her attention to Blanco and Gomez, who were both nominated for two awards.

“She’s here tonight with her new fiancé, Benny Blanco,” Glaser said of the actress, who shyly looked away from the camera.

“And Benny Blanco is here because of the genie who granted him that wish. Man, lucky guy,” the host, 40, then quipped while Gomez, 32, laughed and the music producer, 36, kissed her shoulder and giggled.

Gomez was nominated for best supporting actress in a motion picture for her role in “Emilia Pérez” and best actress in a musical or comedy TV series for “Only Murders in the Building.”

However, the pop star lost the movie category to her co-star Zoe Saldaña and the TV award to “Hacks” star Jean Smart.

Nevertheless, Gomez appeared to be in great spirits throughout the night and was seen smiling, kissing and sharing sweet moments with Blanco during the ceremony.

The singer embraced old Hollywood glam by wearing a structured baby blue Prada gown feauturing a long train that she delicately held over her arm.

She sparkled in an 18-carat Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace and matching earrings, also sporting her 6-carat marquise diamond engagement ring from Blanco.

Gomez completed the look by styling her hair in a classic bob and wearing light blue stilettos.

Blanco, who opted to not walk the red carpet with his fiancée, looked sharp in an all-white suit and a lace floral shirt.

He popped the question last month after dating for more than a year.

Gomez eagerly posted a few photos showing off her massive ring and smiling ear to ear after Blanco proposed during a picnic with Taco Bell.

“forever begins now..” she captioned the sweet post on Dec. 11.

Blanco also celebrated the engagement by sharing a sweet video of Gomez smiling with her ring while clinking their Champagne flutes.
