UPDATE, 7:49 P.M. – The Richmond County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased shooting victim as 29-year-old Cattory McBride from Augusta.


UPDATE, 4:19 P.M. – According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, the victim has succumbed to his injuries, and this case has been upgraded to a homicide.

This is an ongoing investigation.


RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. () – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened on Tuesday.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the 1900 block of Walker Street on Tuesday at 1:27 P.M. in reference to a shooting.

Deputies state that when they arrived, they located an adult male victim who had been shot at least one time and that victim has been transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office states that this investigation is in its early stages.
