Pamela Anderson inspired 'The Last Showgirl' cast to go makeup-free in the movie: Brenda Song

Pamela Anderson is spreading her makeup-free lifestyle.

Brenda Song, who appears in “The Last Showgirl” with Anderson, urged her fellow cast members to go makeup-free while filming, the veteran actress shared.

Song, who plays dancer Mary-Anne in the movie, spoke to Bustle about the less-is-more mindset on set, which seeped into the beauty department.

“When you didn’t see us in our showgirl makeup, we weren’t wearing any makeup. None at all,” Song said of the Gia Coppola-directed film.

“The first day we tried makeup on and Gia was like, ‘It doesn’t feel real,’” she said.

Anderson, 57, a recent pioneer of the fresh-faced movement who has gone viral for her makeup-free philosophy as of late, gave her thoughts, saying of their characters, “These women don’t have time for it.”

Song added, “And Pamela being Pamela, she goes, ‘I’m not doing it. You guys shouldn’t do it either.’”

The “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” alum, 36, then reflected on her time as a child actor, having been camera-ready in powder and concealer since she was a teen.

“In this movie there was no place for it.” Song added. “There was something really freeing about not being worried every two seconds going, ‘Oh my God, this is the least amount of clothing that I’ve ever worn in my career.’”

She added, “I just had two kids. I feel so insecure. And working with these women — who every day uplifted and supported me, made me feel beautiful — made me feel comfortable.”

In a recent interview with People, Anderson opened up about her character Shelley, a seasoned showgirl, and her philosophy about cosmetics.

“I wanted to just how Shelly would be if she’s going to the grocery store,” she said. “I just wanted it to be raw and real, and I was ready for that and prepared for that and excited about that.”

And while prepping to film the movie each day, Anderson stayed away from the mirror.

“I didn’t want that to be in my head at all about the way that I looked, unless it was in the showgirl mirrors [in the movie],” she explained.
