The entertainment industry matriarch, Tina Knowles, is among the growing list of celebrities experiencing property loss a result of the California wildfires. Knowles took to social media to express her sadness at loosing her, “… favorite place, my sanctuary.”

“This is what I was looking at on my birthday this past weekend from my tiny little bungalow on the water in Malibu! It was my favorite place, my sanctuary, my sacred Happy Place. Now it is gone !! God Bless all the brave men and women in our fire department who risked their lives in dangerous conditions. We Thank you for your dedication and bravery and for saving so many lives,” Beyonce and Solange’s mother began with a caption on an Instagram video showing a view of dolphins in the ocean from her bungalow.

“This could have been so much worse with out the dedication of the disaster workers and first responders. I’m so sad for the people who lost the five family members. My deepest Prayers are with you !!!!!! To the people who lost their homes and belongings, I can only imagine how it feels to lose properties and everything you own! My heart and deep prayers go out to all of you.”

As she concluded her caption, Knowles reminded everyone that pain and suffering only endure for a night, but joy will eventually come.

“I cannot imagine the pain and suffering and fear that you are enduring.. I am praying diligently for our beautiful City of Los Angeles!! Another celebrity, singer Jhene Aiko, also shared the news of her home loss on social media as a result of the wildfires.

“Me and my children’s home is gone… burned to the ground with all of our things inside. Lord have mercy. Thankful we still have each other…starting from scratch. My heart is so heavy,” she shared in an Instagram post. 

“Praying for everyone this morning. Those who lost their home. Those who lost their life’s work, those who lost their life. Praying for my city. Praying for the wildlife and lost pets. Praying for the world—let suffering be a gift; a lesson in compassion.”

At the time of publishing, five individuals have lost their lives in this horrific natural disaster. Sadly, officials expect the death tally to rise as a new fire has just joined the already burning fires, bringing the total number of wildfires burning at this moment to six. All six fires are still at zero percent contained and winds are expected to increase thought the night and early morning. Thousands of individuals have been displaced due to fires engulfing the city. State leaders confirm that these fires have been the most destructive in California history.
