The Kansas City Chiefs might be busy trying to make it to the Super Bowl again, but Patrick Mahomes has also been working on a little side project all season. The franchise quarterback and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, anxiously await their third baby’s arrival. Baby Mahomes #3 is due on Jan. 12 and will arrive on or around that date, regardless. Ahead of the new arrival’s debut, fans are predicting what the famed NFL couple will be naming their baby.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes will be parents to three children before he takes the field next. Brittany Mahomes took to Instagram earlier this week to celebrate her second daughter’s impending birth with a new series of maternity shots. Fans were quick to get their baby name predictions in just before the newest Mahomes joins the family.
Fans of the couple feel confident that their third child, a baby girl, will be named Goldie. The prediction feels like a good bet. It certainly fits in with the couple’s baby name theme thus far. Patrick and Brittany Mahomes welcomed their first daughter, a baby girl named Sterling, in 2021. The following year, they announced the birth of their first son, Bronze Mahomes. Now, pregnant with another baby girl, a metal-inspired name feels like a given. The duo have not revealed if they’ll be sticking to the theme, but even if they do, they have other options aside from Gold or Goldie. Fans will need to wait for the birth announcement to find out if they were correct.
The Mahomes’ dogs share a name theme with the couple’s kids
Patrick and Brittany Mahomes might give their next child a name inspired by a mineral or metal. The couple already has two children who share the name theme. In fact, they are so dedicated to the theme that their pet’s names are similar-themed. The couple own dogs named Silver and Steel. Silver is a Cane Corso the couple brought home in 2019.
Steel, a pit bull, was a gift from Patrick to his then-girlfriend when they were college students. While Steel was the family member who started the metal name theme, the dog wasn’t named after a metal. In a chat with People, Brittany Mahomes revealed she named the dog for the football team she followed as a college student. The NFL wife was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan before her husband landed on the Kansas City Chiefs roster.
