AN American Airlines flight attendant has allegedly been stabbed to death while on a layover.
Celinda Levno, 71, was in Denver, Colorado, when she was killed on Saturday.
The veteran flight attendant, 71, was stabbed in the throat, according to cops.
Denver cops revealed that there was a suspect “indiscriminately” stabbing people as they went on their rampage.
She was attacked in a pedestrian area right in the heart in downtown Denver.
Levno went through several hours of surgery in a desperate bid to save her.
Her husband received a phone call informing him that his wife had died, as reported by the NBC affiliate KPNX-TV.
An American Airlines spokesperson said Levno was the victim of a “senseless crime.”
“Our thoughts and support are with her family, loved ones and colleagues, and we are doing all we can to assist law enforcement in its investigation,” they said.
Levno, from Phoenix, had been a flight attendant for over three decades.
Cops have launched an investigation into her death.
Tributes have been paid to the airline worker.
“She will now be with us every stride, and her love for horses will be carried on through all of us,” devastated pal Josephine Dale told The Arizona Republic.
Dale shared a series of snaps online in a heartbreaking post.
In one picture, Levno was sitting on a white horse carrying an American flag.
And, in another, Levno, an avid flutist, was seen beaming as she looked into the eyes of another horse.
Dale said she loved Levno “so much” in another heartbreaking social media post.
Heartbroken pal Yvonne Shields also posted a tribute online where she said: “RIP my sweet friend.”
