Cam’ron responds to Jim Jones‘ comment about his relationship with Mase as things appear to be escalating.

Last week, Jim Jones sat down for an interview with Justin Laboy, where she said some things about Mase and Cam’ron’s past beef. According to Jimmy, he watched the former Bad Boy rapper “sh*t on Cam,” his childhood friend, after he got signed by Diddy. It appears Cam isn’t too happy about the remarks made by his former Dipset partner in rhyme.

If you see Cam and Mase trending on Twitter today, it’s because of his heated rant on their It Is What It Is podcast. “You’re a Guardian Angel in designer, n—a,” Cam’ron said. “You are from the Bronx, bro. You are not from Harlem. I did not grow up with you, my n—a. You wasn’t there, n—a! We were super-duper popping in the street. Everybody knew we were about to get a record deal.”

Mase / It Is What It Is

Cam’ron stated that Jim Jones only tried to befriend him back in the day after his meteoric rise, thanks to the success of his freestyles and mixtapes with Mase, Big L, and his cousin Bloodshed. By then Mase had already grabbed his popcorn for his front-row seat to witness Killa Cam demolish Jones.

“You wasn’t there, n—a! We were super-duper popping in the street. Everybody knew we were about to get a record deal,” Cam continues. “Basically, you heard our freestyles and you came up to me one day and you said, ‘Yo man, I heard the freestyles. Y’all killing sh–. My grandmother died if y’all wanna come by and just hang out, y’all more than welcome.’ You were fanned out and you begged n—-s to come to your house after you heard all these mixtapes. That’s how you got in, n—a.”

Cam’ron also dropped a bomb when he said they taught Jim Jones how to rap and shared several clips of Jimmy admitting to the claims. Cam also dismissed Jones’ claims that he made the Diplomats, saying that the New York rapper was merely a fan who they let in the organization because he was a nice guy and had a free house they could stay at.

Cam’ron then switches to address Jim Jones, accusing him of making peace with 50 Cent and revisiting the infamous 2007 performance with the G-Unit chief. “I didn’t think it would be a big deal because you make up with every n—a that put hands on you,” Cam said while mentioning all the celebrities Jones had beef with, including French Montana, Maino, and BMF. “I see you with C-Gutta from Junior M.A.F.I.A. I see you taking pictures with Tru Life. Mendeecees, y’all having sit-downs. Gunshots were let off with that! Y’all having sit-downs to work it out.”

“Do you ever hear me talk about when you ran on me when BMF pulled up?” Cam rants. “They chased you to the beach! You was in the sand. You was getting wet in the water from the ocean. Me and [my friend] JoJo were laughing at that for months. I don’t pump all that shit ’cause I’m not trying to degrade your character.”

Cam’ron ended his rant, stating that this would be the last time he would address Jim Jones.
